Why After Automotive Exists
After Automotive started with a simple problem: automotive experience is valuable, but it does not always translate cleanly on a resume.
A person can spend years diagnosing complex problems, managing pressure, documenting repairs, following procedures, mentoring others, working with customers, handling safety concerns, and keeping equipment moving — yet still struggle to explain that experience in a way that fits manufacturing, quality, fleet, technical support, training, or operations roles.
The gap is not always ability. Sometimes the gap is language. After Automotive was built to help close that gap.
A Founder Story
After Automotive was founded by Adam, an automotive professional with roughly 25 years of shop experience, much of it in factory and dealer-level environments.
The industry treated him well. It provided a career, skills, discipline, and a deep respect for people who solve hard problems with their hands, their judgment, and their experience.
But eventually, it became clear that moving forward did not have to mean starting over. That realization became the starting point for After Automotive.
The original idea was personal: find a better way to explain automotive experience in terms that other industries could understand. But the more the process developed, the more obvious the larger problem became. Many skilled automotive professionals are capable of moving into strong adjacent career paths, but they are often left to figure out the transition alone.
After Automotive grew from that need.

Any private information, saved resumes, profile pages, or career documents should remain behind a user profile and controlled by the user. Users should decide what they save, edit, delete, or share.
The Mission
After Automotive exists to help skilled people see that their experience still has value — even if their next opportunity is outside the shop.
The goal is not to push people out of automotive. The goal is to help those who are ready for something different move forward with a plan.
